Awards are funded with a United States Department of Education Student Support Services Grant which specifies to whom we may give awards.

How do we determine which SSS students are eligible to receive grant aid? Students who are current participants in a SSS project, who are in their first 2 years of postsecondary education and who are receiving Federal Pell Grants are eligible to receive grant aid.

The University of Missouri matches one third of the grants received from the Department of Education.
