MISSION
Funded by a $752,096 annual grant from the U.S. Department of Education, MU’s TRiO Student Support Services (SSS) Program serves 670 eligible undergraduate participants each year. Designed to support first-generation, low-income, and/or students with documented disabilities achieve academic success, MU’s TRiO SSS Program offers holistic services aimed at supporting participants in making a successful transition into MU and continuing through to graduation, to advance their academic, career, and personal goals.
MEMBERSHIP BENEFITS
As a participant in this program, you receive holistic and strategic guidance in support of your academic, career, and personal goals, including:
- A dedicated “go-to” person on campus for ANYTHING you need including academic & personal advising!
- 1:1 academic tutoring
- 1:1 financial coaching

- Assistance finding and applying for scholarships & grants
- Leadership or involvement opportunities through TRiO Student Organization (TSO)

GOALS
The goals of the MU TRiO SSS program are:
- To help our students be successful academically
- Support our students with the resources they need to stay enrolled at the University
- Assist our students in meeting all of their requirements for graduation in a timely manner
