Biography

Education:

Doctoral candidate for EdD in Higher Education Leadership from Maryville University of St. Louis 

MA in English from Truman State University 

BA in English and minor in Biology from Truman State University

TRiO Experience: 

As an undergraduate student, I served as a residential mentor for the Upward Bound summer program for high school juniors and seniors. As a graduate student, I served as a tutor for the McNair Scholars Program during the summer internship experience for college juniors.

Favorite spot in Columbia? I haven’t lived in Columbia for long, so I’m still figuring that out. I’m very excited to explore. Have any recommendations? Let me know! 

Favorite spot on campus? The Mizzou Botanic Garden 

Fueled by: My passion to help others reach their full potential! I’ve benefited from others’ encouragement, and I want to give back in the same way. 

Current vibe: As I finish my dissertation, I feel like a runner at the end of a marathon. I’m excited to enter my relaxed and refreshed era soon! 

My college advice: There is no one way to do college, and you will constantly grow and change. If you haven’t found your passion yet, that’s to be expected. Everyone’s paths look different, and as long as you make choices that align with your values and sense of self, you’ll find your way!
