We are excited to announce the launch of our new TRiO SSS Scholarship program! As part of this initiative, you can earn entries for a chance to win one of two $500 MU Scholarships that will be applied toward your financial account for either Spring or Summer 2025. Earn entries from August 21 – December 15, 2024. 

You will receive one entry each time you complete any of the following TRiO activities:

• Meet with your TRiO Advisor (schedule an appointment)
• Meet with Marco Pantoja, our TRiO SSS Financial Coach (schedule an appointment)
• Attend a TRiO SSS tutoring session (sign up here!)
• Check in and utilize the resources in the TRiO SSS Community Room – SSC 102 (must sign in on paper for verification!)
• Attend a TRiO SSS/TSO hosted or co-hosted workshop or event (RSVP on MU Engage)
• Complete the TRiO survey (only once per semester) (start TRiO survey)

Starting this year, you will receive one entry each time you complete any of the following non-TRiO activities, unless indicated otherwise (more options will be added soon!):

• Meet with your Academic Advisor (find your advisor on MU Connect)
• Meet with a research librarian for a research consultation session (schedule an appointment)
• Meet with a peer financial counselor through the Office for Financial Success (schedule an appointment)
• Meet with a writing tutor through the Writing Center (schedule an appointment)
• Submit a writing project for review through the Online Writery (submit here)
• Go to peer career advising through the Career Center (hours and location here – just drop in!)
• Attend a Tiger Tutors session (info here)
• Meet with an academic coach through the Learning Center (schedule an appointment)
• Meet with a fellowship advisor through the Office Global and National Fellowships (schedule an appointment)
• Use the Career Center Selfie Studio to take a professional-looking headshot (info here)
  • To earn an entry, you must email your headshot to trio@missouri.edu
• Meet with a pre-health advisor through the MedOpp Advising Office (info here)
• Meet with a study abroad advisor to explore your options (info here)
  • To earn an entry, you must email a completion confirmation to trio@missouri.edu
• Complete your 25-26 FAFSA!
• Present at a national or on-campus forum through the Office of Undergraduate Research (info here) (Worth 10 entries!)
  • You must email proof of participation to trio@missouri.edu
• Complete 10 or more hours of volunteer work per semester outside of what is required for your degree program (Worth 10 entries!)
  • You must email proof of participation to your TRiO advisor.
• Obtain your S.T.A.R. from the Office of Undergraduate Research (Worth 10 entries!)
• Participate in a career or research internship outside of what is required for your degree program (Worth 20 entries!)
  • You must email proof of participation to your TRiO advisor.
• Participate in study abroad! (Worth 20 entries!)
  • You must email proof of participation to trio@missouri.edu

Start participating TODAY to increase your chances of winning! Unless directed above, there’s no need for you to tell us when you complete an activity.
