How has TRiO impacted your life?

“As a first-gen student, having my TRiO Advisor to keep me on track and organized has been huge! She cares about me as a person as well as my success at Mizzou, and I view her as a mentor. She takes the time to check in with her students and gets to know us in order to put us on a path that suits are personality and goals. I was really procrastinating registering for class and she helped me simplify a daunting task and motivated me to be organized this semester and proactive for this one.”
Camryn Adams
“My participation in TRiO has been incredibly beneficial during my time at MU. It helped me connect with other first-generation students, giving me a sense of community and understanding. Through TRiO, I was able to discuss the unique challenges of being a first-generation student, which made me feel less alone and more supported in my journey.”
