As one of the largest and longest continuously funded TRiO Student Support Services programs in the country, Mizzou TRiO is proud to celebrate our students, alumni, and their remarkable accomplishments during TRiO Week.
Events take place Monday, Feb. 24, through Friday, Feb. 28 (National TRiO Day), and are hosted by TRiO SSS and our campus and community partners.
Donate a TRiO book!
Book donation list
TRiO is seeking book donations for our Feb. 27 student volunteering event at HIKE, an after-school literacy program in Columbia. The book authors are all former TRiO participants or about important figures in the TRiO community. We are relying on donations of these books to give to the kids at HIKE after our interactive volunteer activity.
How can you contribute? Please purchase a book (or several!) from our Amazon list, and have it delivered to 909 Lowry Mall, Student Success Center, Columbia, MO 65211.
About HIKE
HIKE is an after-school program where kids engage in fun activities and improve their reading literacy skills. From their website: HIKE (Help Instill Key to Education) provides low-income children individualized reading instruction in order to improve their literacy, leading to greater success in school and increased opportunities in life.
