
Advocate for Inclusion
Amos Jaimes came to Mizzou with the goal of becoming involved, but decided to go above and beyond in making others feel included. He spent his time here at Mizzou participating in the LGBTQ Resource Center and Multicultural Center, where he was able to learn about many identities both similar and different to his own - and to educate his peers while promoting a deeper understanding of how to be inclusive of all people.

My name is Bailey Synclaire Washington. I’m a junior at the University of Missouri Columbia studying documentary journalism. I’m also a first generation student and have been with TRiO since my freshman year.

What is TRiO?
MU’s TRiO Program is part of the federal program called Student Support Services. This program is designed to help promising students from underrepresented groups meet the academic, financial, and social demands of a college education.
